I was born in Manchester in the UK and moved to Australia in 1998. Since moving to Sydney, I have predominantly lived in the Eastern suburbs.

I completed a BFA in Fine Arts (Honours in drawing) in 2013

and I continue to develop my art practice both out in the field and from my home studio.

Through the medium of drawing and painting, I am able to explore my ongoing interest in the way that we perceive the world as a result of our visual, sensory and tactile experiences.

I believe that our essential connection with nature is diminishing in an increasingly, alienating preference for the digital platform. It is for this reason that I prefer to reject the use of photographs to inform my memory.

The immediacy of drawing is for me, a much more effective vehicle for me to express my physical connection with the sensorial aspects of my environment.

I often blend drawing techniques into my paintings, through both the structure and mark making.
